The Summit of Music-Making
for Soloists, Chamber Musicians, and Singers

In summer 2018 Caeli joins Verbier Festival Academy. Fifty-six musicians from 26 countries have been selected for the 25th edition of the Verbier Festival Academy. The Academy is a leader in identifying, encouraging and nurturing the world’s most talented young soloists, chamber musicians, singers, and conductors. Eight instrumentalists were chosen for each of the Academy’s piano, violin, viola and cello programmes, while two piano trios were selected for its chamber music programme. The Academy’s Atelier Lyrique, which combines the study and performance of opera, Lied and art song, includes twelve singers this year. A new conducting mentorship programme welcomes four aspiring conductors.

Academy masterclasses take place 18 July through 3 August. Most classes are free and open to the public. Academy musicians also perform daily concerts at the Verbier Cinema from 20 July to 3 August, and special concerts throughout Valais during the Festival, and are featured regularly in VF Unlimited programmes.
